The Stuff They Didn't Show You: A Photo Collection
First of all I'd just like to say thanks to Chris Psaros of DBZ Uncensored and Greg Werner of The Ultimate Dragon Ball Z Information Site for giving me the idea to do this section. Greg Werner, of course, was the first to have ever done this kind of thing and he inspired Chris Psaros to also set up his own section, who in turn inspired me to set up this section. Between their two sites there are pictures of most everything that got censored/cut out of the first 66 Japanese episodes/53 English episodes. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're curious to see what will appear on Funimation's re-dubbing of those seasons along with the original Japanese episodes on DVD. In time this section will encompass all of Seasons 6 and 7 and maybe some more stiff in the future. Also, please remember for this section that I'll be going with the original Japanese episode number as opposed to the English episode numbers. Just add 15 to whatever English episode number you're looking for to find out what Japanese episode number it matches up to, or do vice versa and subtract.

Anyway you probablylready know what the drill is but I guess a refresher won't hurt. The images in this section will be broken down into two categories: cuts and censors. Cuts (red background) are stills from scenes that did not appear in Funimation's tv version. Some of them will be from next episode previews, a few of which (for the Japanese ones that would be all of which) have never appeared in any of Funimation's versions (cut, "uncut") and which perhaps never will at any point in the future. Although Funimation's screwed up a lot the previews issue isn't really their fault. Toei's the one responsible for removing all the previews so, I'll be using Steven Simmons dvd translations for most of the episodes but fansub translations (and shots) for the previews.

I should also mention that these images, as with most screen captures, are no substitute for seeing the real thing in action. And if seeing these pictures convinces you to start buying the uncut episode version I recommend you get them on fansub or DVD. It took them years to do it but Funimation finally dropped the price on the dvd sets to the point that it's affordable and -not- overcharged, so that option's at long last now a good one.

Anyway, just sit back and enjoy the show.... the DBZ that's just too hot for American tv. (except for the International Channel /\/\)
