Dragonballz.com Movie 8 Interviews

By: The Great Saiyaman

The following are a series of interviews released on dragonballz.com on June 14th to help promote FUNimation's release of Movie 8. Why save em here? Well, they won't be around forever, and I'm sure some of you latecoming archives/webarchives explorers (you know who I'm talking about) will be interested in these and wondering what exactly I was talking about earlier. Also, the last 3 came out about a week later after the first 2. Anyway, I've said all I want to say about em, feel free to take a gander.

Mike McFarland (Voice Director)- "Hi, I'm Mike McFarland. I directed Dragon Ball Z Movie 8, the Legend of Brolly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. I believe it is the best Dragon Ball Z movie we've made thus far. We've got a really good soundtrack, all the voice actors really put forth extra effort on it to.. make it as.. as awesome as we possibly could. A lot of great fight scenes on it.. and for those of you who haven't seen Brolly or don't know anything about him you're going to be pleasantly surprised with what a great challenge he is for Goku.

Evan Jones (Virtual Acoustic Designer)- "Uh, I want to tell you a little about the uh, sountrack for Movie 8, uh the, Brolly movie coming out pretty soon. Uh, we've got some really, really good bands this time around, we're staying with the uh, the live band feel. We've got a Pantera drop in the movie. We've got several other really heavy bands that some to, some to fight the fight sequences a lot better than just instrumental music... killer vocals, you know punch-in, sounds really good. We're really, really excited about this soundtrack, we're really excited about the movie, a lot of people say that it's probably the best DBZ movie that was animated.. a lot of people are anticipating it's release. In addition to just releasing this movie we also want to give some of these bands some realy good exposure. Look up some stuff on the DBZ store, website, I think we'll be selling some of their cd's up there. A lot of hard work in the booth dubbing the voices on this one.. Mike M. is the director on it, he's the voice of Master Roshi, he's done a bang-up job. Some new voices.. some old voices and um.. hope you enjoy it, check it out!

Chas Naylor (Multimedia Producer)- "I did the.. original trailer-slash-teaser for Dragon Ball Z Movie 8 which is titled Brolly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. Essentially this.. this Dragon Ball Z movie is the most anticipated Dragon Ball Z movie we've ever produced and it's also about one of the most powerful characters in the Dragon Ball Z legacy. So.. we wanted to be real dramatic and let this go to the fans slowly, not hit them all at once with actual footage from the film. I hope you all enjoy the teaser and trailer as much as you'll enjoy the actual movie when it comes out in August.

Tamara Stephens (Special Products Manager)- "I'm T. S. and I was previously the product manager for IF Labs and now I work with FUNimation's licensing department as a special products manager on the, um, Jaks Pacific Account. The next figure thatwe have coming out that is the most anticipated villain of all the movie collection figures is Brolly the Legendary Super Saiyan. Jaks is putting out these figures, they're 9-inch figures, under the new giant 8 logo which is a short undertaking between FUNimation and Jaks. And since Brolly is the biggest, baddest, meanest villain, favorite villain of all time, we're trying to make the figure the biggest, baddest, meanest, even larger than our Movie collection 3-4 figure which is Super Android 13!

Johnathan Quesenbery (Director of Marketing Score Entertainment)- "Hey gang, this is J.Q. at Score Entertainment. We're supporting the Brolly event with 3 Special cards being dropped in the video. They support the fact that Brolly is the most powerful character in the DBZ universe.
